Our French Upholstered beds are as simple as they are sophisticated. Many choose an upholstered bed for a guest room because of its clean lines and welcoming feel.

The Chateau Upholstered French bed is finished with a beautiful white distressed effect, with the headboard and footboard covered in a beautiful striped cotton fabric. The sophistication of this piece of French furniture is apparent on first viewing; it is simple, yet bold. The key is in the way you dress it.

Pastels and clean, white linen work well to compliment the striped fabric of the chateau upholstered French bed; keeping fabrics soft with cashmere, linen and wool work well with the white distressed effect of the frame.

Alternatively, for a bolder look, choose fabrics lined with silver or pearl; the fabric will glitter in the light and catch the eye! The simple upholstered striped fabric of the bed invites an array of looks: a favourite of ours is to pile an assortment of pillows at the headboard of the bed. Choosing warm mauves and golds to build up colour on the French Upholstered beds works very well, as does choosing embroidered or sequined fabrics!

Our French upholstered bed is really the perfect frame to dress in whichever way suits you!
